What can YOU say in six sentences?

With the help of Tom Waits, this is my ode to the diner lifestyle. We've all been there after a night of boozing... Enjoy the faces in this short slideshow - they all have stories to tell.

Way past rockin' . . . your diners serve up the best, Ant. I woulda guessed poor Marilyn - Norma Jean even if Harry hadn't have spoiled the contest scene. Your genre speaks . . . era, mood, and seamless dissolves. Drive write-in . . .

There's a full book on your blue plate Diner specials, isn't there?

Should there be? Oh yeah.

Nice job Anthony! Great shots, great song. I want a cigarette and a cup of coffee and I don't even smoke! Was that Marilyn sans makeup?

This expresses a lot of love for the ambiance and details of what seems to be turning into a cultural artifact. Sure, there are many still around, but notice that many are 50's and 60's themed because the general feeling is diners represent a by-gone era. I hope we never lose these places in this Starbuck's and fast-food age. They are thick with atmosphere, and have stories to tell, each and every one of them. Anthony, you've done a terrific job here, so, so expressive. Thanks.
I'll be hanging out in Bukowski's Basement whenever I can.
