Mistakes were made.  The next day, your driver’s  license—nothing else--- washed up on the beach.  Most accidents happen within 5 miles of home.  On the payroll, there were people who knew how to do the kinds of things people are not supposed to do.  As I was silently reciting your name, angels bristling with unexpected interest, looked down.  There is no such thing as chance, especially in love and war.
