Her writing is still not her best, but it's better since she fell out of love with herself and others.

Once she smelled her own shit and death snuggled up, there was fire.

When she got mad, sick, tired, bored, she got better.

Like grit in an oyster or green rising from ash.

As the walls closed in she looked for ways out, learned from wrong approaches the way out of hell -- through it.

Hell's darkest room is sealed, and the only way through is words.

There's magic in her words.

line 4 was the best visual for me.  i  hate that personal hell is what is needed to make some people better.  but i love that you can write about it with brilliance.

I like the tags "perseverance-survival."  Handley's right: You're on a scorching streak.

This made me think of Emma. Writing her way through that terrible heartbreak, writing through her shrink's death, writing her way into happiness again.

I am sooo unqualified to comment on this, either stylistically or content-wise.

You ARE on fire. Words might teleport, but feet cover that distance.

Terrifically insightful.  5 and 6 are similar.

The second and third sentences were very strong, and the whole thing worked together very well.  I am pondering the phrase "she fell out of love with herself and others", and I'm unsure of how I feel about this.  Do I need to give up my love for anything but writing to be an excellent writer?  This might be the case.
