The Weller: Land of Plenty to Appear in Crossed Genres

This morning I woke to find a very pleasant surprise in my email inbox. I got a letter from Bart Leib, editor of the science fiction magazine Crossed Genres accepting my short story The Weller: Land of Plenty for publication in the May 2009 issue of Crossed Genres.

Every month, Crossed Genres gives authors a new theme that must be crossed with science fiction. In the past this has included Humor, Romance, Dystopia, Crime, and Fantasy. The Weller will be appearing in the Western-themed issue.

I'm told that the magazine will be available in a multitude of formats, including Print, and electronic formats such as PDF, Kindle e-reader, and iTunes.

So be prepared, friends, because The Weller is coming to print on May 1st. Less than a month away.

Bart, yes that is the website where Adam's work will be published! I should have said, "Other than Crossed Genres,..."

Bart!! I didn't realize you were a Sixer! Too cool! :)

And yes, you raise a good point. I think I'm going to order a copy of issue #2 for myself (or more) to tide me over until issue 6 comes out in May. :) And the artwork on the cover is beautiful.

Fred, might I suggest Crossed Genres? Each issue has a different "Theme"; three guesses what Issue 2's theme was. http://www.crossedgenres.com

I haven't come across any. I'll keep my eyes peeled, though.

Great marketing in the Weller-based Six; it left me wanting more Weller!

Do you know of any short story websites that at least have some dystopian fiction?

Yes, actually I do have one Weller-based Six. It's called Waste, check it out:http://sixsentences.blogspot.com/2008/05/waste.html

I don't know of any good sites for dystopian fiction. Wish I did. I'm a big fan of movies like Mad Max and The Postman. Love that stuff.

Very cool concept. I love it. I love dystopia, post-WW3, Armageddon type stuff. Have you written any Sixes based on the concept and characters? What are some good websites where I can read this type of work? THANKS!
