What can YOU say in six sentences?
Alé- It was such a short and brisk walk back to her apartment that as I trudged behind her with my cello, I had a brief opportunity to appreciate her beautiful ass which swayed unintentionally with guilty purpose, leaving me to stare with uninterrupted longing because she continued to avert my gaze, only proving my theory.
She was too fragile on that cold and dewey morning, so I felt a slight sigh of relief when after she asked me in, she sheepishly inquired if I would play for her.
There was already the baggage of whatever she had faced the night before, coupled with my limited English vocabulary, which made speaking through music seem like the obvious choice. I chose the romance of an Adagio in G minor, hoping that it would live up to its literal meaning and ease me physically, as well as her, emotionally.
My ease was short lived when she decided to sit behind me while I played and my elbow began to brush her bosom as my bow created each new note, causing her naked beauty to dance in my imagination; evoking endless wonder about the hue and size of her areola and the crescent shape of her young breasts.
I had to leave her that night, soberly sated only by music, because she was worth more than a conquest of chance… my mother could love her, but would not like her; which made me need to know more than just her name.
ad agio in Italian means at ease
The rest of their story is here.

Comment by Brittany on February 20, 2012 at 1:55am This adagio is my favorite. It is the Prelude to Bach's Cello Concerto No.1. This youtube video is rustling and rhythmic.
Comment by Robert Crisman on February 20, 2012 at 1:25am This was really beautiful, and touched the earth in a way that made it all the more real in that last sentence. Bravissima!
Comment by Sandra Davies on February 20, 2012 at 12:16am Sensual and erotic - I too hope their story is just beginning and will be played out here.
Comment by Brittany on February 19, 2012 at 11:09pm The source… hmmm.
The cello for me, is a wildly sensual instrument- from the shape of it, to how it is manipulated. The hands of its player almost seem at odds with one another. One hand glides a bow gracefully across the strings, while the other taps vigorously at them with power and intensity. It says a lot to me about the polarity that can exists with desire, attraction and ultimately… love. Our wants and needs are, at times, at war with our brain. The cello makes me ache. I hope you continue to read about them. They have not even touched yet… I hope their story is just beginning.
Comment by Angela on February 19, 2012 at 2:13pm There is no sound of a musical instrument that moves me like a cello's. None. I think I might do anything for Yo Yo Ma.
Your six captured that feeling. I listened to the Boston Cello Quartet play it on youtube. What a treat.
Comment by Gita on February 19, 2012 at 9:33am This is so wonderfully erotic. "she decided to sit behind me while I played and my elbow began to brush her bosom as my bow created each new note, causing her naked beauty to dance in my imagination; evoking endless wonder about the hue and size of her areola and the crescent shape of her young breasts."
Now I am listening to the Adagio and wondering about the source of this Six.
Comment by Mike Handley on February 19, 2012 at 8:46am Cool.
