The Jörmungandr theory

Astrophysicists are almost all  firm believers in the big bang theory.

It accounts for most of the proof we see in the universe at large and is better than disfavored theories such as stable state, expanding and contracting theories of the origins of the universe.

I have my own theory that accounts for all evidence and unifies all four theories called the Jörmungandr theory.

Using the rubber sheet gravity theory in four dimensions, we find no white holes near enough to be observed because there is only one, immeasurably far away, a constant streaming "Big Bang" fed by all the black holes of the universe constantly pulling matter in and feeding it out the one point at which all matter originated.

This means there is a single point from which all matter expands (the big bang) , flows out (expanding) , converges (contracting) then transfers to start the process anew (stable state).

So our universe is like Jörmungandr the world serpent constantly consuming itself to renew itself and our little galaxy is but a tiny twinkle off a scale in the middle of Jörmungandrs' eternal slow circle of self consumption.

Where would we be without theories? They've already dropped the big bang theory, so Mr Jörmungandr, (that is, assuming it is a he, for it is just a theory on my part that Jörmungandr is not a she) has every right to hold forth. Until we get out there and back faster than a light year, nobody can prove him wrong. And you are right, considering the way this planet is devouring itself, he may be closer to the truth than we know.
