Later that week, he looked up the junior Olympians and wondered if Paul was there.
As he looked through the pages of the 15-16 years age group, he was not listed. He checked the 14 years age group, then the 17-18, yet he was nowhere to be found.
"Is he a moron or what?" Greg said, sitting in a chair, comfortable, sipping his water, not very affected by the outcome, despite his latest muttering.
He called a friend who knew his "army" coach, wanting to know what happened.
The response was swift and mystifying, Paul was deemed unfit, his conduct was not in accordance with his coach's criteria, and, it was best decided that he stay home and train harder for the next ones.
