Joel Peterson stands on the edge of a precipice- fists clenched his dark sunken eyes attempting in vain to absorb the teeming twitching mass of bodies that carpet the valley below. In the cold of the morning air, a gentle breeze tinged with the scent of blood and rotting flesh causes his tattered clothing to flutter.
It was the Canadian flue, it had spread so far so fast that civilization had all but collapsed inside of two weeks. Joel turns away and heads back to the quarantine camp wondering why he had survived.

thank you! Brittany Elizabeth I wrote it when it looked like "The Canadian" had a shot at winning i did not want to wast 2 waste it so i just changed the title

It was what I wrote when I was hoping the contest name would be The Canadian- thats why the flue was the Canidian flue i didnt want to waste it so i just renamed
