Yesterday, we were surprised by shakes and falling objects.

This morning I headed for the kitchen to fix that first cup of tea. While waiting for it to steep I glanced out the window.

A dozen dolphins played off shore, arching flapping and teasing the seagulls following above.

My neighbors backed out of their driveways and children came out to play.

The old saying “What a difference a day makes is true.”

@"T" Thanks, 300 is good. Now we're waiting to see what "Irene"  is going to do.

@ Grey, and this too shall pass. She says calmly the day after.

I'm thankful for you that everything went back to normal, and I hope it stays that way for, oh, maybe three hundred years?

There is a calm after the storm though plenty of chaos on TV.
