Lying on her back amidst the trees in this wonderfully landscaped park, she thought briefly of how long it may be before she was spotted. The air felt cool as the leaves around her crackled in the soft breezes sweeping them across the grounds. Looking toward the sky, sunbeams pierced the treed canopy while finding their way to the soon to be warmed foliage. Birds and squirrels scrambled about carelessly even coming close to her on a few occassions only to quickly scatter like the bustled leaves. This could not be escaped, this season of change, the present pushing the past behind as it had always done and always would. This moment allowed for no regrets, no sadness and no desires as her eyes blurred to darkness and the prayers of those rushing toward her would go unheard.
