I'm glad you made a book of these. The flow of them, one after another, made them a whole rather than pieces, and I felt their emotional impact for the first time. You have a real gift for storytelling, MB, and you painted a fine and stark portrait of a child who has to serve as the adult in a parent-child dysfunctional relationship. Great job.

The Issuu version ties Laurie/Tess & Edward together nicely- I'd love (and maybe do) to live in the world of 'art dreams' for it is a real therapy as you say through life- I'd choose Sargent or Vermeer-

Very cool, and you taught me an important new word: limned. You've an amazing mind, Mud.
you should make a collection of your MudJob website.

Feeling stupid for not having made the connection between these separately appreciated pieces until now, I am hugely admiring of the sense of satiated ... not peace but a sort of knowing about the life of Laurie. Thick double cream perchance?
