Shakespeare said that all the world's a stage, but Carl Jung said that the whole world is a mirror.

While I am probably, like you, starring in my own movie (and its a drama), I have also been given the greatest gift, in the past year, of a mirror that has caused a change in the tone and script (can you say comedy?).

She lives across the nation, is the totally wrong age, and shows me myself so many years ago with all of my neediness and hope and passion and sparkles and a decided lack of fear of that cold cold water where the sharks swim.

She turns me onto music I wouldn't have otherwise heard, interrupts my workday with gmail chat, gets pretty damned offended when I tell her the hard truths, and goes from sunny to stormy and back again in about 2 minutes flat.

She's become my poetry, my friend, and my sister.

Go ahead, Karlee, blow raspberries... for your's are my favorite kind.
