What can YOU say in six sentences?
It's raining today in downtown river valley.
In my work, I often wonder if I'll be the last person that someone will get to complain to about not having medicine or food or money to buy clothes for their children. It's a self-important thought, but when you talk to someone whom is about to die and you both know it, then it starts to mutate back into a sense of responsibility. It's difficult to draw rightly the line between -responsible for- and -responsible to- just like it is a hard line between giving to take and taking to give, means and ends. And when you somehow can, and even the brick breaks down and only the mortar remains, you see that what is left behind is the lines in the wall where the constituents became the aggregate.
And then, when I wonder if all I will leave behind are my conjoining divisions, I walk in the rain and miss my family and friends so much.

Comment by Angela on April 21, 2012 at 9:33am I want to repeat what Gita said about the bricks and mortar phrase. It is truly one of the finest I have read all year.
Comment by Gita on April 21, 2012 at 1:50am the part of this that will resonate with me long after I close the screen is: even the brick breaks down and only the mortar remains, you see that what is left behind is the lines in the wall where the constituents became the aggregate.
Although, I am not sure it's physically possible for the mortar to stay when the bricks go. From what I know of brick walls the filling between ends up still stuck to the old bricks.
