Lately, I have been seeing more of Mr. Red than usual. His eyes are heavily rimmed with sadness and grief. I can feel his heart continually breaking into smaller pieces as he moves about in his day to day random doings. Mr. Red smokes cigars; their stink lingers around long after he is gone; I'm not even sure of his real name, we all just call him Mr. Red because he has a subtle tint in his graying hair that gives way to imagine him as a young man in his prime; tall, piercing blue eyes, fair skin, and bright red hair. I don't know much at all about him except for the fact that he is very friendly, and that he was absolutely in love with his wife of many years, and he painstakingly took care of her for years with nobody ever bothering to take care of him. Lately, Mr Red has been coming alone.

I guess maybe I should have worded it differently... re-reading the day after writing it. Mr. Red is very real... a customer of mine actually... His little wife passed away less than 2 weeks ago, and he is just lost without her. He just broke down crying to me yesterday and all I could do was pat his back and cry with him. It just broke my heart. He always brought her with him, now he comes alone. I last saw them together on a Friday, and found out the following Tuesday she had passed away. Like I said, I don't know much about him, nor did I even know her name. You know how when you see people all the time, you feel like you know them. Even only if you speak in passing. I'm so sorry for his loss.

There's lots of caring people out there. Nice tale yet I'm assuming this is just the beginning.
