Chloe-
There's $2.25 on the table between us on a Friday morning at this dingy diner which is located at the base of the train stop, just a few blocks away from my apartment. I'm making clover patterns on the cracked linoleum surface with various tendered coins because I can't hold his gaze as it is too intense, and I am still feeling too newly broken. Copious cups of coffee and lustful thoughts have aerated my heart and opened my pores to his warmth and the heat of impulsivity.
Alé-
Her cheeks are blushed and cherubic as she fights to notice how much I want her. Her body appears blanched and dormant beneath the layers of cotton and cashmere that allot only a peek of her décolletage which exposes several beauty marks that seem to have the shape of Orion, minus his belt. I know that she must think that I am helplessly, wantonly, fixated on her breasts but, on the contrary, I can only faintly hear her voice from inside of me as I am dizzily dreaming of what to play so that the notes may instead dance for me and move her to the rhythm of my seduction.

Comment by Mike Handley on December 31, 2011 at 12:51am Well done, Britt. The link didn't work for me, though (unless you mean they met at 6S).
I loved that he was so enraptured that he could "only faintly hear her voice from inside of" him, as though he had enfolded her into his body already.
Comment by Angela on December 30, 2011 at 5:10pm I love the aerated heart and the constellation of beauty marks. Their inability to communicate ("can't hold his gaze", "faintly hear her voice") is in itself something that speaks. Lovely.
Comment by Bill Floyd on December 30, 2011 at 12:17pm Oo la la. The images are deftly chosen. "I am still feeling too newly broken..." Ain't that love?
Comment by Robert Crisman on December 30, 2011 at 10:59am Oh yeah... I've never read anything so convincingly written from both sides. "The rhythm of my seduction." Love it. Fave.
I'm hot and they haven't even touched. Only clever writing can do that.
aerated my heart and marks of orion minus his belt. great details.
