All we have been is now memory, and what we will be  hasn't happened yet.

The now we stand on is a small painted turtle, moving unsteadily into the future.

To consider your own past as having no relevance is to deny your entire life.

Aging, at any age, is one door closing, another opening, over and over.

Getting old is a state of mind.

Being old is a state of grace.

The turtle I am standing on has lots of deadlines so I do see the future that hasn't happened yet.  But philosophically, this is perfect.

And I hope the painted picture that everyone see's is the same one I envision... a nice write and a reflective account.
