The man moved into the house across the street six days ago. I didn’t see a moving van, just a brand new white pickup parked out front that looks like it flew in right off the lot. The man never comes out; the only activity I see is occasional movement of drawn curtains and after midnight, searing white light seeping from every angle and crevice of the place. Last night, I dreamed he came to my door and we talked a bit. He said, “It’s coming.” Old Jimmy, my neighbor, says the fellow’s here for the Rapture - just a little late that’s all - but I don’t believe he looked like no Jesus.

Fine creep factor, Paul.  You gotta wonder...

I love the phrase..."that looks like it flew in right off the lot." that's pretty damned awesome.

Bright lights from every room late at night? I don't like the sound of that, not one bit.

Damn Paul, doesn't all that light keep you up at night? You'd think that Jesus would know the meaning of "love thy neighbor". Inconsiderate of him don't you think?

@ Glenn; It depends on what's in that brownie mix!:))

@ Mike; A Ford of course! Who do you think kept them out of banktrupcy? It's an F-150 with Sync so he can call Dial-a-Prayer hands free.

Angels always drive white pick ups. Dang, I thought everyone knew that. Don't bring wine as a housewarming gift, but a pan of brownies will likely grant you favor.

Okay, I must know: Does Jesus drive a Ford, Chevy or Dodge?

Sounds an odd bit ghostly to me.  Perhaps, agoraphobia plays a part in the picture.  Definitely makes me want to drink some warm milk and lock both bolts and put the chain on the door before heading to bed for the night.  Personally, believe anyone can be Jesus.  Rapture was to occur on my birthday and my birthday wish, though superstition says not to share, was that the World not end...at least not quite yet.  All my best!

This struck a chord - that watching and wondering and inevitable invention of a whole life history.   Though I have to say I don't like the sound of the 'searing  white light seeping'   Take care.
