Ok, this is one piece of mine that is not really a piece at all, it is just 6 sentences copied straight out of my journal. It is an emotion I wish to share, which is why I am publishing it on this website. I will commonly write my sixes to resemble journal passages, while hyperbolically representing my emotions as a way of relaxing and gaining perspective. This 6, however, is copied straight out of my journal, and its emotions are not hyperbolic.

"It's about this time that I realize love isn't about being madly in love every single day… It's about just having someone to go through life with, and if you're in a bad mood then not putting on a front of a good mood like you do for everyone else, but just being in a bad mood with your lover. This is what I'm learning as my long distance college-to-college relationship begins. Up until now, we were together for the summer, and summer has a way of being magical. And oh, what a magical summer it was, it was one to be written in a poem. Now that's ending, and I'm moving out on my own, and I'm learning what love is, and I'm growing up."

I wish you Godspeed, open eyes (which you have already), an open heart, thick skin and the ability to clot quickly young man. Hyperbole be damned! This is the stuff!!

Thanks everyone for reading!

It's good to know that I can write what you call a great 6 even when I'm just writing in my journal, haha.

And because I write my sixes about what's going on in my life, if you choose to read all my newly posted sixes, you'll be kept up to date on my growing up and my relationship, haha.

A well-expressed description of a well-learnt lesson - thank you for sharing your journal entry. But long-ddistance is a testing thing.

Good expression of realizing the maturation process at the time it's happening, which many of us only recognize in hindsight.
