We climbed mountains, we won numerous and onerous battles and we changed political landscapes, or so we thought.
Music, flowers and boogie boards defined us in the popular press but it was our nature not our nurture, we bounded to another infinity of love, kindness and humanity.
We never forgot we where our mothers love and our father's wisdom began and ended through eons of our own learning pain.
The generation of 'generations' got tired, needy, greedy and slipped into a 'tea bag' mentality that said "I got mine, go get yours".
We left all the 'little' people on the court house steps of humanity and a few Supreme court ideologues; black and Italian are enjoying the opium pipe of of POWER they smoke over the bodies of their ancestors.
Justice is never blind, only jaundiced to pander the 'fruit of the day' in relegating the small to the mighty; but power corrupts and we are corrupted and I cannot leave this piece without framing a remark from our quintessential American poet, Pogo; "We have met the enemy and he is us!"
