Life is a river -- from down to upstream it encompasses all that we know or ever will know; moving sometimes slowly and sometimes swiftly along its banks.
And it would be nice to run along its banks and scoop up the moment where you met your first love or the moment you felt greatest joy.
But also while you scooped up that moment you had to scoop up others for its liquid is intermixed; the day your father hit you or the day when you realized that all things die.
So is the question 'Do you want to run along those banks; do you want to stoop to scoop'?
Or is there even a question?
For if life be a river, then you can never be along it in the first place, but ARE the river creating your own current, your own eddies sometimes slowly and sometimes swiftly moving along your banks.
