Individualism and Equality of People Gone Mad

Here’s my 6 Sentences based on my really, true experience in the Al Jazeera English (AJE) Chat Room at Livestation. Vicki

In discussions with chat room americans try to keep in mind that high levels of intellect, experience, reasoning and expertise are not equal to nor greater than the opinions expressed by those in the chat room.

So . . . if you have the four above characteristics and attempt to explain your viewpoint you will receive no respect if you disagree with someone, because you are showing a difference of opinion not presenting a better argument.

Until you jump on board the patriot bandwagon you are only deserving of ridicule for proposing a thought different from anything heard before in the chat room.

Now an individual in america is one person or one corporation which believes, that is, has unshakable faith in the power of nondiscernment and group think.

Equality of the people means you have two choices: right or wrong because there is nothing in between and nothing on at the edges.

When the bullying group teaches you a lesson by team insults, and you lose your cool when they start deriding “common sense”- don’t be surprised - YOU will be the one tossed from the chat room for calling them “Bulls—t As—oles,” however accurate that may be.

Michael! Yes, that is one the locations, but not 100% of the time. There does exist a small group of us that can have an interesting talk when we happen in AJE chat at the same time. (doesn't happen often)
Finally started checking out the nicknames(handles?) of people before I get involved.
Lately I watch PressTV and I'm the only one in the chat room. Ahh, peace and quiet.
I had two experiences in AJE of cries for help one from an Iraqi and one from Somalia. That was pretty dramatic for me.
I'm thinking essentially bullies see something that looks Arabic and think they have an invitation to be really nasty. (hmm, am I slow on the uptake or what!)
Maybe I should organize a flash mob to flame them with courtesy!

Alytha, I know what you mean! I used to read anything in setting in front of me but learning new habits with Internet!

Oops, sounds like that little experience didn't work out so well for you. I kind of wondered where the clubhouse for a_ _ _ _ _es was located. Now, we know. Used to think it was one of those entertainment gossip sites where people never say die until the last chatter gives up and goes home. Thanks for the tip off.

Thx alisa. I have years of experience with bullies, but when the chat room buddies went so far as to disown Common Sense (!) . . . i was ready to jump into the Net and track them down in person. Some people will go to such lengths to be 'contrary' even when they couldn't possible look more foolish. I'm always learning something new about human nature-lately, more bad and ugly than good. GWBush and Cheney being in the White House tricked people int thinking -anything goes -:-(
