What can YOU say in six sentences?
Writing in the nude can be distracting. Most would think about wrapping themselves up. Then again, that would defeat the purpose, wouldn’t it? It's important to strip ourselves of the excesses, unveil our vulnerabilities, let it all go free and show the world what we got. And what’s upfront really counts too. To grab attention, I’d suggest a provocative title for your story.

@Sandra--I'm gagging.
Comment by Cita on October 29, 2012 at 6:45pm Wooop Woop! Here's to vulnerability, showing up naked to the page.
Comment by Jamie Hogan on October 29, 2012 at 11:08am Like Bill, I appreciate that you hung in there with the metaphor. The piece wouldn't have been right if you hadn't. I do a lot of writing on lunch and breaks. Something tells me nakedness for the sake of my writing would not be appreciated. Then again, when I hit the Powerball, it sounds like a really cool way to get canned.
Comment by Bill Floyd on October 29, 2012 at 9:28am You stuck with the metaphor all the way through, and it served you well. This should be front page stuff (pixilated, of course).
Comment by Stephen Torelli on October 29, 2012 at 9:22am Yes, painfully aware and unprotected is probably the best method yet difficult to achieve.
Comment by Sandra Davies on October 29, 2012 at 4:15am Hmm ... the stains on my chair attest to the downside of that ... but the title certainly worked Paul.
[apologies, probably too much information here]
Amen. I read once that a writer has to give something up when he writes, make himself vulnerable. So true. Great six.
Comment by Angela on October 28, 2012 at 7:36pm Well, your provocative little title got me to click and read. Fun six.
Comment by Gita on October 28, 2012 at 1:19pm I tried that sexy title thing but my story is still sliding off the front page as we speak.
Writing naked is unpleasant ------> chair fabric is scratchy.
Comment by Bill Lapham on October 28, 2012 at 12:24pm Nice. The title can/should (?) give you a seventh sentence (almost).
