Today, the gym, then phone calls to doctors to confirm appointment dates I can't remember, then new school uniforms for my first grader, a Whole Foods run, the drycleaner, GNC and a nap I already want to take.

And I'd like to invite you all to attend the Stella & Dot jewelry show I'm hosting for a friend on 8/23, but I know it's a long drive and you'll probably wonder why I never put curtains up in the formal living room anyway, I mean, it's been ten years and all -- why haven't I finished decorating?

Did you know that boiled eggs do NOT contain fewer calories than it takes to digest them?  For twenty-two years I believed they were the perfect diet food, because that's what my mom said, then yesterday I finally looked it up.

My first grandchild is due in November but I can't wait to share her name with you:  London.

I've recently lost ten pounds, the key to my mail box, my wedding ring and a $2 off Snipits coupon I meant to use today.

This is so cool because it's basically a day in the life, but the beauty of the six is what's read between the lines. The joy of life, the weariness, the sorrow, the disappointment. Nicely written, especially sentence #2 and #6. #6 is particularly wrenching because you have the good, annoying, bad, slightly annoying. For reasons I can't explain, I love how you put the coupon last. Nicely written.

Is the kid's middle name "Olympia"?

That is a bitch about the coupon.

@Mike ~ I know the structure of sentence #1 had to bother the heck out of you.  I meant it to sound like a phone call, I guess.  And isn't London a cool name?  I can't wait.

@Gita ~ The jewelry is actually very nice, but I realized when I agreed to host that in ten years, I've never once hosted any sort of party.  It's not really my thing, but this will probably be fun.  And the wedding ring is in a parallel universe...

@Bill ~ I know!  That coupon was very, very important to me!

@Cita ~ Had to diet, to get rid of inflammation.  No white foods, except eggs.  No sugar, bread, beans, rice, etc.  Low carbohydrate.  Gotta watch the red meat too.

Can y'all come over and play now?

That is CELERY, not boiled eggs.  And who wants to eat celery?  Or diets?

I have no idea what that jewelry stuff is but if you ever host a liposuction party, I'm there.

Your wedding ring is in your bathroom somewhere on the vanity by the sink hiding behind a perfume bottle or some makeup. That's where mine is whenever I lose it.

No. 2 ... Sounds like you never considered it a permanent nest.

No. 5 ... LOVE it!

No. 6 ... I really like this sentence's construction, the losses of unconnected things. Way cool.
