Gearheads In Love - Romance Challenge

When you flip through our wedding photo album, the first pictures you'll see are of me and Mike perched on the hood of a '71 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight. Big green monster that's better than its Cadillac cousins, if you ask me, anyway. We said our vows and ran to the car, perched on the hood, and Mike clenched my hand and raised our arms in the air like we just won Indy.

A lot of work went into getting that car ready, and he did it all himself. He took the average stock engine out and stuffed a 455 marine engine in, and she sounded like a big bad burbling boat going down the road.  I hope that since our marriage back in '95 he doesn't feel like he's doing it all himself, still feels like he won Indy, and his big bad burbling biatch with mudflaps instead of cute sidewalls ain't so bad--and if she is--I guess there's always Ebay.  ;)

(sorry no pictures... hubby prefers to leave relatively few internet footprints)

When done right, cars mixed with girls creates some of the best romance around. You (and he) obviously did it right.

Sounds like a perfect match. Not every girl can appreciate a '71 Olds Ninety-Eight!

Shame about the photo, but an enjoyable read just the same.

Imagining it is better than seeing a photo...
