My healthcare package was quite decent while I was an employee of St. John Hospital, a Catholic Sisters of Charity hospital; it included coverage for birth control pills, though I didn't need them since...SSSsssshhhhhh... my tubes were tied.

Which brings up a few good questions:  Should Catholic hospitals, universities and charities employ women who've had tubal ligations, men who use condoms, men who have vasectomies or any non-Catholic or Catholic who participates in any anti-Catholic activity (remember, every sperm is sacred)?

~~~
According to NPR, "...many states as well as federal civil rights laws already require most religious employers to cover prescription contraceptives if they provide coverage of other prescription drugs...dozens of Catholic hospitals and universities currently offer contraceptive packages."
So what's the new big deal with Obama's healthcare package?
During mass last Sunday, Father Finn asked the congregation to carefully consider what their healthcare plans were asking them to support, to firmly stand by their Catholic faith.
He's asking every woman on a pew to hand her fertility over to the church (but not the thirty plus kids she pops out), that we quit our jobs or give up healthcare altogether, that this is no longer about an individual's free will, but about the will of the church and right to impose their religious beliefs on people (Non-Catholics and Catholics) who don't share them.
You better not EVER take me to church with you.  Honey girl, I would have been on my feet, doing the Vagina Reel  (like a Virginia Reel except you thrust with a different body part) and chanting bull-shit, bull-shit.
Well-put.
Zealotry has a lot of cred in the US at the moment, and the majority of voters may very well go along with Father Finn.
Whew! Religion has caused us to have babies, lose babies and abort babies. Fight wars and live with someone you don't love anymore. Is this like Marshal Law? Great 6.
How many times a week does your brain tell you to stare at people in your life through a rearview mirror?
Bill, I need a version of your comment directed at shitheads who can't drive so I can recite it instead of flipping out with road rage.  Your anger is like medicine.
Wow, Bill.  Anything I might have thought to say has been rendered watery and pathetic...  :)
