Falling Into Autumn

I get this feeling every year when summer comes to an end. Fall is absolutely my favorite time of the year. A time for renewal if you may... a fresh start. When the weather breaks off into cool crisp mornings with the brightest of sun-shiny days, the leaves begin changing colors and crunching underfoot, we pull out our hoodies and scarves, make plans to carve jack-o-lanterns, eat candy apples, decorate with Indian corn, maybe drink hot apple cider, and take long walks into the topaz sunset. This same time every year I feel lighter, more carefree, and in just an overall better mood. Something about the fall stirs something inside of me, I'm not sure quite what it is, but it's something like how the autumn wind blowing in stirs the brilliant orange, red, and yellow leaves and leaves them twirling and fluttering in it's wake; and I welcome it.
