Depression Saps Your Energy, So Keep Life Simple (more adventures in psychiatry)

Put a chicken in a crock pot.  Cook it for 5 hours. Pull off the meat every time you want a meal for days, and you won't even need dishes.

Take a shower, using extra soap and shampoo. That way you won't have to bathe again for a while.
When the chicken is used up, you know it's time to take another shower.

Cleanliness is next to godliness apparently, so if no godliness then no need for cleanliness either.   Wine can be druk straight from bottle, chocolate ate straight from wrapper - what's the problem?

Dear Grey:

Tide is not okay, but Febreeze is.

... and use spray deodorant for that quick shower.  Funny stuff, GS.

This is so utterly funny.  I like the first two sentences.  Nice and short because writing a long sentence would take too much effort.  You've  captured the heaviness and difficulty of performing small tasks - but the story leaves its readers laughing.  Laughter makes us feel weightless, uplifted, floating.  (Nice contrast to the sensation of being weighed down.)  Maybe I'm babbling,  so let me go back to sentence one.  This piece is utterly funny!

Useful.  Would copy and print, but don't feel like getting up.  Ran out of shampoo and can't face the store.  Tide okay?
