Just a wave, nothing more,  to let you know this end of the continent still floats,
global warming real or imagined has yet to turn us into crispy critters,
and life rolls on.

I see  you're well, and thriving.    I think of you often, and miss our convos,
but things change;   people move on,  forcibly and otherwise.

And one thing Ive found;  in some regards, you can't go back.  It's been tried;
and beyond the sense of closure,  there's nothing but air, once the loose ends have
been tied off.

Be well, be happy.

true, dat.  You both grow, and change, until  one realizes that there is more--or less--than they need in the relationship,  and gradually moves away.  I guess the secret is to acknowledge it, and metaphorically wave goodbye as the train pulls away.   There really is no 'over",  just a dwindling.

The saddest of love/friendship stories are those that are forced closed.

there's nothing but air, once the loose ends have been tied off. Very nice.
