What can YOU say in six sentences?
The news item in the Montreal Gazette on page C-4 took exactly one minute to read. She had been the fifth jumper in as many years, anonymous, shabbily dressed, shredded by the oncoming subway train. She’d had no purse and nothing in her pockets.
Video of the platform showed her standing stock-still in profile as one train after another stopped at the Rue Laurier Metro station, her thin face marked by a port wine stain on the cheek facing the camera.Comment
