I remember a much simpler time in life.

I remember when playing in the dirt, riding my bicycle, and building forts with my brother was my everyday agenda.

I remember living out in the country; a place in which my mawmaw used to say, “They gotta pump in the sunshine for us.”

I remember the days of having a party line telephone; now 9 year old kids are owners of Iphones and Ipads, and god knows what other types of technology.

I remember learning to work with my hands as a small child, how to break a sweat, and how to take pride in something you had worked so hard for.

I remember when I was this age wanting so badly to just grow up already; hindsight is always 20/20, right?

We're always in a hurry to grow up.  Yeah, that 20/20 is a slap.

Great six, Kaylynn.  At one time had an "everyday" agenda similar to yours.  That is what I like about this challenge; we see our common experiences.

Party lines meant you had to be courteous and patient, and while they would be inconceivable now, they weren't such bad things. Love the pump in the sunshine. Today, with temps over 100 degrees and a beating-down Alabama sun, we'd be grateful to find the off-switch. Nice writing.
