I remember maybe five or six years ago my son and I were walking back from the bank some Saturday morning. We saw some young teenagers doing young teenager things like smoking slim cigarettes that are only meant for women in their seventies, those generation champion smoking survivors with their lesiony pride, skateboarding, and probably inhaling mercury from flourescent bulbs off of permanent markers.
Having only drunk what I had with breakfast, I imparted some bit of fatherly advice about not getting pulled down by his peers. Thirteen years old, Corbin who hasn't even taken his easily unimpressed eyes off of those kids once, says "dad, alley fun is what low-class do during the end of the week. If you have the discipline to play in the alleys in the beginning of the week, you'll have more money for the weekend. It's an investment."
