What can YOU say in six sentences?
(With thanks to Ian, Mercia and Peter for giving me a nudge)
I haven’t written a word (other than shopping and ‘to do’ lists) since my last 6S back in March.
The past months have been taken up with more down-to-earth projects as well as being far too
emotionally charged to allow the free-flow of creativity.
My last painting was ‘The White Monk‘, back in July 2011 (I can’t believe it was that long ago)
for Jeanette Cheezum’s wonderful cavalcadeofstars website.
As my e-mailing contacts will concur, my communications have been somewhat lax of late. I need
to get back in touch as well as finding my creative side once more.
I have been silent far too long.

Comment by Mike Handley on September 29, 2012 at 10:33am You don't have to write to stay connected, although I most certainly understand the longing for less competition within that corner of our creative minds. I've been lax as well, too busy with the day-to-day and painting. I stay connected by setting aside Saturday mornings to read and comment on my dear friends' pieces. Give it a try. And, who knows, maybe the words of others will grease your wheels. :-)
Comment by Diana E. Backhouse on September 27, 2012 at 10:08am Thanks, Gita. I know I can rely on the support of you Sixers. That is what makes 6S the great website that it is. I do remember promising you a day at the seaside. A lot of water has passed to and fro over the beach since then, but I am going to get you back on tour very shortly.
Comment by Gita on September 27, 2012 at 9:01am No need to rush things. It will come to you when you're ready. I think it's good not to pressure yourself.
Comment by Diana E. Backhouse on September 26, 2012 at 1:59pm Thank you all for such a warm welcome back. Toby is so right about the home thing. 6S is such a comfortable place to slip in and out of at will. I hardly feel that I have been away.
Bolton, life has been both busy and far from easy at times. I intend to take things slowly, so that I won't be overwhelmed.
Stephen, Jeanette and Angela, thank you for being here for me. I have missed you all, but didn't realise how much until now.
Comment by Angela on September 25, 2012 at 8:19pm Welcome back.
Comment by Jeanette Cheezum on September 25, 2012 at 7:12pm Diana, your talent as a writer flows, not to forget your art work. Your work on cavalcadeofstars still attracts viewers. I'm glad you're starting to feel like you would like to write again.
Comment by Stephen Torelli on September 25, 2012 at 6:58pm Welcome back, Diana. We missed you!
Welcome back. We all have our hiatuses and this is the place where when you return, they welcome you. I think that's called home.
i hope that things have been busy, not difficult, but glad to see you back. i understand being so overwhelmed after being away so long that you're not sure where to even start on creativity. i, too, am back hoping not to get too overwhelmed to stay gone again.
