Break Fast

Been drinking plenty of water these days. She's reaching for another glass right now. Lukewarm with lemon. Her phone rang, and it's only the thousandth missed call calling for her attention to gluttonous feasts with her trendy frenemies, luring her to the dreadful carbs in those cakes served in such innocent portion neatly placed right at the heart of a gigantic plate that I'm sure is meant to deceive its diner - there's triple the calories than meets the eye. The ringing stopped, she was tempted, and she collapsed. I'm grateful I'm still alive, typing these words here, munching on tiramisu.

The footnote on this made me smile.  "Lukewarm with Lemon."  Sounds like a book title.
