Operation Paperclip seemed like a prudent and sensible idea at the time; to contain and assimilate German scientists well-versed in the art of war, for the sake of national security. Only thing was, the bulk of these scientists were ardent Nazis, whose pasts needed to be bleached in order to provide them with new identities, for the purpose of re-integration. During the war, Dr. Kleinmann’s adoptive parents banished him, upon learning of his nefarious affiliations, leaving him lone and hollow. He had dedicated himself to the study and application of psycho-behaviorism, which in time allowed him to discover and pick locked doors in the atrium of the mind; making him a prime target and priceless asset to the Intelligentsia. Then, opportunity knocked dressed in red, white, and blue. Exit Dr. Kleinmann, enter Dr. Ramsey, Ph. D.,one of the newest and brightest faculty members at Yale University’s Department of Psychology.

@Michael Brown - You said it Michael, Dr. R. is on the loose, playing mind games of his own. It comes down to the lesser of two evils, it seems, when it comes to security.
@Paul de Denus - Yeah, I couldn't help myself. A nod to good ol' Dr. R.
@Stephen Stribbell - Ha, ha. Exactly. Hmm.
@CJT - Absolutely. Opportunity of a lifetime, to mold the young minds of tomorrow. Booajajaja.

That is a terrific take on both prompts. Rob has placed Dr Ramsey out there and now the mysterious one cannot disappear. The doctor has taken on a life of his/her own like Virginia Woolf's Orlando, and may yet pop up in the most unexpected places. Excellent tale also for what it says about what goes on behind the scenes in the name of "national security."
