Hallo, hallo all, I just got back from a nice 2-week long backpacking trip with the shining light of my life:- my special lady friend.

Usually, even life-long friends dont make good travel companions and I was afraid that I would stretch the fabric of our relationship tight during the course of this expedition, especially since I was doing it on a piss-poor-grad-student budget.

Despite this being our first trip together owing to the fact that we only just met in person recently after a long online courtship, I must say I am surprised by how much of a jolly awesome experience it was.

I missed 6S and I missed all of you terribly, so much so that I forced myself to reactivate my Facebook account  just to be able to log in to my blog here and post regularly.

(I had deleted my facebook account about two weeks ago as some sort of a stoic statement, but you know what they say :- Deleting facebook is like running away from home;  everyone knows you will scurry back eventually.)

Anyhoooo, looks like I have a lot of catching up to do, with both reading and writing but I must say, it feels great to be back!

Glad you're back!
