Trying to read it had the same effect on me as trying to watch the blades of a ceiling fan. Kind of the point. Great six.
I think what people are starving for is never what they think they're starving for. Like women wanting to be "thin", those who make it a way of life. Obsessively wanting to be "Thin" isn't about being thin but about everything else the woman perceives she is not, doesn't have, can't be, will never reach. I think "thin" and why nothing is interesting for more than twenty minutes is about not having the clarity to see what "satisfied", "at home" and "fed" really means to us.
Perfect, Bill. Constantly inundated with new and exciting information and before it can be processed--BOOM!--more new and exciting information.
I copied and pasted it into a word document and fooled around with the tabs and spacing until I made a swirl out of it. Not sure you can do that on a 6S copy block.
You can also make a bell curve out of it but that really takes a long time.
Very cool idea. I also object to the "it's so 30 seconds ago" commercials. Confidentially, I think Twitter's a big fat time killer.
Have you noticed this tendency to feel like things that were new and interesting like, twenty minutes ago, now feel stale? Or how commercials try to make out like the guys twiddling their phones at the tailgate party are the cool ones because they've got the fastest updates? Which all plays into Americans' insecurity at being left out, left behind, left? Seems to me we aren't even satisfied with having information NOW anymore, we're already onto what's NEXT before we even internalize or contemplate anything with any degree of seriousness.
So, really, just a sort of visual poem that tries to be an example of what it's critiquing. Not quite sure if it works or not... But as long as it's worth a laugh, I'm validated for today!
I'm laughing my ass off without even knowing what this means!! What does it mean?! Not that it really matters because I can't stop laughing!!!! Maybe a nap will HeHeHeHeHeHilHilHilHilHilHepHepHepHepHepHelHelHelHelpHelpHelpHelpHelp.
