What can YOU say in six sentences?
"The Life of Phillip Grape"
I find myself once again typing in Times New Roman double spaced in size 12 fonts. I've been working on the never ending essay entitled "The Life of Phillip Grape" a fictional character in some novel that hasn't been written yet. Phillip Grape in this unwritten novel is a novelist himself with the desire to write the next American classic. A thing that is no small undertaking because Grape has yet to write a single word for he is trapped in the dismal State of Purgatory a nation that does not exist in our physical world but rather in the metaphysical. In Purgatory Grape must face his greatest fear that of being dead and at the same time do penance for his greatest sin pride and only then will he be permitted by the King of Purgatory to return to his own nation and be able to write his novel. Will I hope that he succeeds and he writes his novel so that I can finish my essay and be permitted to leave the State of Purgatory.
