What can YOU say in six sentences?
I remember the first time we locked eyes on each other, both completely intoxicated, but sober enough to know.
I remember the first time we made out in the back of a cab a week later.
I remember you saying, "What happens in China stays in China, right?"
I remember watching you collect your baggage and turn to kiss the girlfriend you conveniently forgot to mention.
I remember with vindictive pleasure how you broke up with the girlfriend, thinking I would take you.
I remember my heart freezing over, and shredding yours before you could get to mine.

Comment by Justine Dunn on July 2, 2012 at 6:54am 'vindictive pleasure' love it, can relate to it too!

I like the story form of this too. Lucky un-break for your heart.
Comment by Kay Sera on July 1, 2012 at 12:49am Thanks, Angela! I originally had 6 different relationship memories, and sentence 4 was the last of the set. Then I decided that sentence 4 didn't make enough sense without the rest of the story. It was my favorite so I scrapped the other relationships.
Comment by Angela on June 30, 2012 at 9:32pm I like the way your sixes made a clear, cohesive story. The temptation with this challenge, for me, was to run through a stream of random memories that ended up being a collection of somewhat depressing thoughts. Yours was enjoyable to read.
Comment by Kay Sera on June 30, 2012 at 7:01pm There you go, Bill. I added a few other edits too.
Comment by Kay Sera on June 30, 2012 at 6:45pm shoot. I can't count. hold on...
