‘Be careful. You keep knocking me, when you know I like to keep my shape’

‘Sorry’ said the soft sponge dripping water, ‘just an accident old thing, please don’t nag so, I think your shape is very much intact – small but nicely slender.’

‘And I intend to keep it that way,’ said the French soap, all pearly and covered with frothy suds.

‘But you won’t last forever.’

‘I know, but I can stay young and beautiful until…until…ah…life is hard…oh dear, this boy, dirty hands…dirty knees and face; how rough his hands are, and they’re all over me - ohoooooo…nice…I like it.’

‘Bye soap,’ said Sponge, with a quiver in his voice, already feeling lonely as he watched the last of the soapy suds disappear down the - plughole.

If she weren't French, I don't know this would have played so well. But, she was; it did. Nice stuff, Gloria!
