~ from COLLECTIVE CELLULOID MEMORIES
( where a picture tells a thousand stories )

The question is always 'who gets the girl', isn't it? Cherchez la femme, be it a dash through the park, a kiss into her eyes after dark, a long beach walk, dinner for two, a quiet getaway, a glance across a crowded room (on some enchanted evening), or even a chauffeur daughter's crawl around the carport from Billy Wilder's cinematic imagination into ours, the way only Sabrina can do it. Romantic comedies and classy reel-classic Audrey always gets to me. One of a kind always does, always will ~ guess it becomes its own kind of thrill ~ in class, glamour and fine effects still tracing their nimble grace upon generations.

This has been my movie moment.
What brings about your classic thrill?

Such a reel-REALM, screenwriter-man. We could expect no less from the true evoking moments you just dipped us back into, Ian. We could expect no less from the true evoking moments you just dipped us back into. We could expect no less from the true evoking moments you just dipped us back into.

Oh sorry . . . I got wound up in the clock'radio of Ground Hog's Day.
For 33 points . . . what was the song Bill Murray woke up to ?

Kate, I love the idea of doing sixes on favorite pieces of art. To answer your question about favorite movie moments: a couple of candidates are the moment in Truly, Madly, Deeply when Juliet Stephenson's character is playing the piano, hears the cello and realizes that her Jamie really has come back to her. Gets me every time. A couple of bits from the original Bedazzled. The last scene in Usual Suspects when the nebbish transforms into the villain. The St. Crispin Day speech from the Kenneth Branagh remake of Henry V. To name just a few.

Oh God, there are so many… I have spent too many hours glued to flickering screens of one kind or another.

Two moments that choke me up every time:

When, in The Elephant Man, David Merrick recites the 23rd Psalm beyond the point that he was taught, forcing Treves and Carr-Gomme to realise the depth of his humanity.

And, in a more romantic vein,

Groundhog Day, when a worn-out Phil tells Rita everything he has learned about her.

Ah, how you follow your yellow brick roads into rivers not so serene, Kathleen.

KATHLEEN! Yippee! You're back on the 6*scene between all the other choices you've been emoting your writing voices. Now what classic movies give you your thrill? ~ Absolutely*Kate

Oh Kim-Robin . . . I'm so with you on K'K'K'Katie and Hubbel and of course any reason to Redford! That street corner scene named 'desire'? Tough one.

MAL! Me? A bleeding heart? A romantic soul? Uh - well, yeah, sure. But the tendering of heart-rendering is a good thing. You know that ~ you give it out everytime you say somethin' so gosh darn nice to all us girls. Thanks Aussie'man with style ... Absolutely*Kate

I happened to see Charade with Audrey & Cary Grant last week. Gotta say it was pretty good but sometimes it's not who gets the girl but who gets the gold,
