A Prayer for Snow

White creases in the night, hissing softly, and I imagine this is what it sounds like when ghosts converse, and they know things - ghosts - about your unmatched socks and the wind's favorite song and the boxed dreams of a desperate writer, dusty and wasting in the attic of his mind.
