The Two of You

Do you know how you make her feel? The butterflies that you send deliciously spinning around her stomach? The goose bumps you give her when your arm brushes against hers? How about the fact that even when she’s running away from the world, you’re still on her mind?

You take away the feeling of hurt that she keeps hidden in her heart; you take away the sadness that she stores in her soul.

Lie to Me

The day I stopped believing in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny was the day I stopped believing in myself and those around me too. If they were a lie, then why couldn’t I be one too, why weren’t we all? Maybe we were all a figment of our own imaginations, and everything we did and said and smelt and tasted and heard and touched and saw was just made up, pretend. Life was a lie.

The Great Mystery of Life

It’s funny how quickly one’s mood can change – a phone call can bring good or bad news, a sleep can hold sweet dreams or frightful ones, a slip-up can bring anger or laughter.



It’s funny how quickly one’s life can change for the good or the bad – strolling casually down the road could result in a skinned knee, saying “I love you” could result in stunned silence and a taste of bleach could result in a ruined life.

Blind

These are the things we do notice in our world: people, expressions, age and gender – but do we look beyond that? Do we see the boy holding too tightly to his girlfriend’s hand? Do we see the little children who strive to look perfect in public, because at home their lives are far from it?
