Kelly was hunched in the bathroom stall deep breathing through the latest round of morning sickness when the door opened and the lights went out.

Exceptional?
Stopped in my tracks, coffee in hand on the way to the car to watch the dew weeping from juniper and mulberry with the sun peeping out behind distant rooftops feeling consumed by something so pretty.
Stopped at the gas station for my daily bread on the way to the job, the scent of salty garlic bagel wafting over from the passenger seat, really looking forward to the 10 o’clock coffee break.

I tried to hide under her couch but there were already too many people there, so I tried the closet instead, but judging by the doors that couldn’t close because of the creatures crammed inside, I wasn’t going to fit in there either!
