Just came home last night from vacation and found out how much I was missed. I had, swear to God, 1,673 emails. Some were from my friends on 6S. Thanks for your nice comments on my publication on Vox Poetica, and my being a part of Smith Mags new book again this year. Congrats to all of you that will be there also. It's such an honor.

SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.Don't dance so fast.
Time is short. The music won't last.
Do you run through each day On the fly?
When you ask How are you? Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores Running through your head?
You'd better slow down Don'…

Did anyone notice?
Tomorrow is our webmasters birthday.
I'll bet he's thirty again.
Raise your glasses.
Make a toast.
Without him 6s is toast.

I lost my wonderful Father-in-law on the thirteenth. I haven't had time nor the desire to be on line. Last night I thought I would check on 6S to see what all my favorite people were up to. You can imagine how stunned I was when I read the comments on the newest 6/6's accepted by Rob for the public.
I thought for a moment and then wrote this. No, I didn't realize it was in six sentences at the time.
I ran our office for many years. If I needed to chastise someone it was done without other eyes…

Twila was born in the mountains of Virginia under a full moon “That’s when all the lunatics came out,” her grandmother said.
Maybe that’s why Twila set out to do things no one else could do.
Like the time she decided to roller skate to the White House and ask the President to stop all war; she made it five miles and then the sidewalk ran out . . . so she thought she’d go home and watch The Cosby show, instead.
On her fifteenth birthday she recruited six of her friends to help save the world f…

I'm not just a vessel
containing ovaries,
breasts and a womb.
There's more to me than
housework, raising
children and preparing
meals.
Being a friend . . . a
beautiful soul, mother
and wife sums up the
fact . . . I am a woman.
If you keep the twinkle
in your eyes . . . when you
whisper I will hear you
in the night.
Love me or leave me,
I'm on a journey. Hold
on tight.

An old lady was standing at the rail of the cruise ship holding her hat so that the wind wouldn't blow it away.
A gentleman approached her and said, 'Pardon me, madam, I do not intend to be
forward but did you know that your dress is blowing up in this wind?'
'Yes, I know,' said the lady. 'But I need my hands to hold onto my hat.'
'But madam, he said, 'you must know that you're derriere is exposed!'
The woman looked down, then back up at the man and said, 'Sir, anything you
see down there…

Italian Tomato Garden:
An old Italian lived alone in New Jersey. He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard.
His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:
Dear Vincent,
I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to dig up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles…

You invaded my dreams as a child and a young adult. I read The Diary of Anne Frank--it always left a gap in my heart--for you and all the people that had to suffer such atrocities. Can we someday find it in our hearts to forgive and live together without torture and killing? Reach out to someone that you normally wouldn’t. Help make it better before it’s too late. Time is running out make peace.

Mother’s Day Poem
You're the first one we see,
always there to kiss away
the sadness and deliver
the happiness in any way
you can. Our best friend
and mentor even when
we need criticism. If we
let you down you seem to
forgive us unconditionly
Because you're the mother
we want to grow up to be.

Mary had a little pig,
She kept it fat and plastered;
And when the price of pork went up,
She shot the little bastard.
Mary had a little lamb.
Her father shot it dead.
Now it goes to school with her,
Between two chunks of bread.
Jack an d Jill went up the hill
To have a little fun.
Stupid Jill forgot the pill
And now they have a son.
Simple Simon met a pie man going to the fair.
