Wrinkles

Each time he goes to the desert he feels astounded by its depth and the clarity of its soft sands. He really loves that wilderness that reminds him of the first moments of birth. Loner In A Desert Cave

A gust of wind hot as a blacksmiths bellows swept across the plain and onto the bluff and blew the man out of the high cave like an awakening beetle.  The caves stone entry was low and tight, no higher than a grown mans knees, and Sonny slid out and used his hands on wasted thighs to stand upright and he looked across the plain and spotted twin coyotes atop the far ridgeline stalking unseen prey beyond.  He pulled each suspender strap…

Transplanted Desert Kachina

Her eyes blur, going mad from a loud, insulting monochrome of black cityscape windows, towering gray concrete monsters, and frozen white suffocating any remaining hint of green photosynthetic breath. Her spirit, dipped in winter wind chill and hung out to dry on unseen clotheslines against ashen clouded skies, shudders.
