A Returning Smile

I saw a bluebird two weeks ago today.

How many people have seen such happiness and to what degree ?

Yes, a bluebird is a magic word, poem or story.

For me it's all three because it's the first I ever did see.

It's memory returned last night and asked me to share with friends.

I believe a bluebird is much more than a smile because it's gift has been an elevating plane for more than a little while.

Ways to Read

The reader reads your book.



The good reader underlines things on the page.



The editor corrects things on the page.



The aspiring writer corrects, leaves suggestions in-between words, and will rewrite entire sentences in the margins.



The master writer will retype the entire manuscript to get a feel for it, changing words, sentences, paragraphs, back story, conflicts and context on the fly as he discovers his own writing style.

Didn't Read Dickens in the 4th Grade (a 6s)

I never read Dickens, not in Elementary, Middle or High School. Went to college, studied Literature, and again, was never assigned Dickens. It struck me in the middle of my twenties that I'd read Orwell and many others who cited Dickens as an influence, but still hadn't actually read him.
