Pete's mass shifted heavily with every breath, like his enormous weight threatened to collapse his lungs.
Under the dimly lit tunnel, it was hard to make out his face; only his piercing white eyes shot from under the hood, as a viper intent striking. Life in Mathare Valley had not been fortunate to all us, or as he puts it; it had given us different servings. But, I always put it to him, we all had a preference, a menu- like how he found it hard to exist in daylight.

Everything felt banal, tasteless and the day had been full of chaos that sucked all his energies. After several rolls of the reefer, his mind lit up and angels danced over his head, like halos.

well, am trying to fill space, before more inspiration stuff, in form of reversed reflection of life with words descends and merges with my writing fabric and then, free flow is born of the diss-tabbed one,

- Working for a mag, huh? Good for you! Busy is better than bored. Although, I like boring summer days on the beach...at least I dream about it sometimes. LOL. Writing has hit some hiccups lately. I'm not sure if it's just part of the great waves of the writing cycle or distractions or what. Oh well, I'll keep submitting. Submitted some poetry a couple weeks ago. Thought I would take some risks with these two that I wrote. Both editors wrote back with an equivelent of 'what the hell?' Sigh. I guess it beats form letters. I'm hopin' to be on 6s more. Always happy to read your writes. Your poem today was just fantastic. I can feel the confidence back in your writing. Tell your girl Trony to get back here. We'd love to read her!
