Let the Screaming Begin

Scream in Vain my Darlings,
It will not ease your pain.

Scream in Vain my Lovelies,
scream until your voices strain.

Scream in Vain my Pets, for
you've thrown another year down the drain.

Scream in Vain you Children of God,
for a man died on a cross to give your prayers a name.

Scream in Vain you Fools for maybe the end is near,
and 2012 is nothing less than everything you fear.

Scream in Vain All of You
scream until You are blue,
Scream in Vain at all of the gods
for doing this to you,

This Old Tree Of Mine, Simply Gorgeous

Decadent is the Christmas Season, having long ago given up on the Christian concept I merged the pagan with the festive, and thus it is simply my excuse to pursue my favorite addictions; shopping and giving.

Embers of the past eleven months have long since faded to ash, and blown where the winds have taken them, if there ever was a warm summer day or a cool spring breeze or crisp fall frost it has all been forgotten.

It is now time to look forward to a New Year, the return of the… Continue

December My Way (thanx Bob)

DECades of trees and lights and perfectly wrapped presents I have survived.
E very year better than the last in the land of Sunshine and Falling Stars. I
M oved to a climate where a "White Christmas" is a thing of reality, not so postcard perfect any longer. Now this season
B egs the question "will this new year be better than the last, it has to be, doesn't it?"
E very snowflake unique, every defeated dream another wasted effort, every resolution useless in th… Continue

November: ReVisited (gotta have a V)

N ovember is the saddest of months.
O nly regailed as a segue to dead birds and trees shorn down.
V exing the haunted visages of October's full moon.
E ver the keeper of secrets and promises, wishes to be fulfilled.
M emories as children, delighted with the time away from school.
BER rrr the winds remind decidedly, as adults, just another chore that must be endured.

November in Hell (in response to Bob and Paul's posts)

November, the frigid winds fight for dominance over the snowstorms.
November, the single digit nights compete with the days scorching forms.
November, the dogs run wild chasing the smell of females in season.
November, the cats overpopulate and die of distempter in temperatures beyond reason.
November, the colors of the mountains change from orange to yellow to crimson and red.
November, the Herald of another Holiday of dread.

Dunno if there is a secret...that was my first submission to Rob in 12 months. I guess he kinda liked it. Other than that, who knows??
As for others' comments...does it matter? You wrote what you think, I appreciate that. Not a big fan of lemmings or sheep (unless I can eat 'em!!)

Alisa, appreciate your comments on my Main page piece. You are right about the suicide thing - the 'pain beyond understanding' is spot on. Depression is a disease of which very little is known, especially the mind-set behind it.
Thanks for your input and time.
