"Samuel Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Coleridge is one of hundreds of authors I've put off reading in a serious way for my whole life, and finally sat down to try. I normally hate poetry and loved this. So gripping, so versatile…"

i'm righter than you, i mean a writer who thinks more than he should, drinks more for it, and smokes more than both. an asshole, egoist, sometime recluse, who feeds off the crumbs of intellect people forget to clean up. i live under a bookshelf, and sleep between the pages. i'm tattooed with nietzsche, rebellion, and truth, ride one of the sexiest damn bikes this side of an ecosse, and i'm obsessed with wolves, mostly the steppenwolf.

from a five minute hallway

Posted on November 25, 2008 at 11:34pm 3 Comments

this is my six sentence sos, cause i'm lost in a five minute hallway, with no light to find the riddle's beginning or end. somewhere in the middle of a four day bender, three drink's to the wind, two lines down.
i have room to say more, room to keep going, but i can't get there. i can't find the doorknob. i've got one chance to make it out alive. what shall i do with it?

writer blocked

i'm sinking into the solitude and silence of a reclusive violence, throwing words at walls, shattering the chattering lines on the floor where crumpled sheets die without the hope of having seen more. my pen-knife slashes through, cutting me more than you. "seems there's been an accident" (and i've used this line so many times before, but right now, it's sounding new), seems i'm not what i thought i was meant. seems seemly, sleazy in here amongst the easy fear, the muses with their abuses, the… Continue

humanity is not humane

i'm sick, so sick of it all, sick "to the back teeth", to the uvula, that little bulb that, once irked, gags. so sick i want to smack the teeth out of you. most of you. i wonder if blue jays find themselves suddenly, or just progressively, filled with shame at the actions of their co-jays. if not, i want to be a blue jay. in this world, in our age, watching this news unfurl, and well, all of it, it seems more human to be a lesser animal.

how about six-word

i'm such a fan of this conundrum, a six-word bio, and this site being similar i thought i'd start with some.

smiling today, at tomorrow, causeof yesterday.
mom wanted a boy... spawned devil.
loved once. liked drinking better.
was writing autobiography, but got bored.

(i do these all the time in my head now, but none are ever as good as these first four i wrote.)
