Just the other day

Just the other day I shared a sunset with a friend. It wasn't a particularly beautiful sunset as far as sunsets go. In fact, it was rather run-of-the-mill for a sunset except for one thing. Sharing a sunset with a true friend makes a moment in your mind that won't ever be forgotten. I am lucky.

After fifty-one years walking around on this old Earth I have managed to stumble across my soul mate.

She makes me smile and feel like I matter because I know I matter to her and that makes me feel so very good.

We have known each other for...well, it seems like forever...a long time but we never realized, at least never both at the same time, that we belong together.

It seems to be that time, the leaves are changing colors and the bloom of Summer is fading. The nights are cooler and the days are becoming shorter and they seem to somehow be sharper.
